Handbook

Student Handbooks

Xavier Charter Schools provides students with the depth of knowledge, rigorous study, and a structured learning environment that helps them succeed not just in school, but also in life.

Grammar School

(K-4th Grade)

This handbook for the grammar school outlines how young students, who are fascinated by language, learn the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Emphasis is placed on memorization, grammar, syntax, structure, vocabulary, and the foundational fundamentals of all subjects, leading from concrete understanding to abstract thinking.

Logic School

(5th-8th Grade)

This handbook for the logic school describes how students begin to think analytically, asking “Why?” and enjoying debates to discern truth from falsehood. Emphasis is placed on precision in word choice, understanding cause and effect, analytical thinking, correct reasoning, and linking concepts across different subjects to form a coherent system of knowledge.

Rhetoric School

(9th-12th Grade)

This handbook for the rhetoric school outlines how students use their acquired concepts and logical skills to critique their work and persuade others effectively. Emphasis is placed on exploring new contexts, awakening imagination, prioritizing synthesis over analysis, valuing appreciation over criticism, and contemplating the strengths and limits of logic and reason, allowing students to master the art of communication and abstract thought.
