Dear Xavier Families,
Wow—-what a year?!?!?!
We have just wrapped up the 2019-2020 school year in a fashion that nobody could have predicted. It is a true privilege to be a part of the Xavier Community and to have faced such a daunting challenge alongside each of you. I want to personally thank our students, families, staff, and board for the support and efforts to make this year as successful as possible.
As you may have guessed, we are making plans for the 2020-2021 school year at this time. We are fortunate to have a member of our administrative team on a regional re-entry planning group, and we are also in contact with the Idaho State Board of Education as well as the local health district and health officials. We have been moving forward and making plans for a variety of potential circumstances, guidelines, and scenarios that may be in place. We are designing a plan that is flexible and can be adapted to meet the educational and safety needs of Xavier students.
It is important to us that we design a plan that works best for Xavier, meaning our students, families, and staff. Our next step is to collect feedback from you. Later this week we will be reaching out to the families of our students to gather data on your thoughts and ideas related to the start of next school year. We will be sending you a survey through email by Friday, June 12th. We will also send a reminder through the Remind texting app when the survey goes live. Your input is valuable to us as we continue planning for re-entry to school.
Thank you again for your support and for partnering with us in the education of your children. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Gary Moon
