Megan Lemons begins her third year as the Elementary Dean at Xavier Charter School. She grew up in southern Idaho and prides herself on being a fifth generation Idahoan. She started her collegiate education pursuing the arts and after working in higher education for several years found a love for business and a passion for education. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, Megan worked as an Academic Advisor and an Advising Coordinator in the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University. While working as a professional at the University, she earned her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, started working toward her Master’s in Counseling, and taught classes for the Information Technology Management Department at the University.
In 2022, Megan joined the Xavier family as the Elementary Counselor. She loves working with children and their families and hopes to continue building a positive rapport within the Xavier community in her role as Elementary Dean.
“The thing I love most about Xavier is that we challenge our students to grow through a classically charged educational experience. Among so many of the amazing things we do here, we uphold a high standard of learning, we work hard to instill character, and encourage principles that contribute to a better world! Above all, we have a fantastic team of educators that I am so fortunate and proud to work alongside.”

My name is Johnnie Zimmers, and I am honored to serve as the Secondary Dean at Xavier Charter School. I look forward to partnering with our exceptional faculty, supportive families, and dedicated students as we build on Xavier’s tradition of academic excellence and character formation. Together, we will help students grow in knowledge, virtue, and purpose as they prepare to make a positive impact on their communities and the world.
As a lifelong resident of Idaho’s Magic Valley, I have deep roots in this community. Growing up south of Twin Falls, I graduated from Twin Falls High School and attended the College of Southern Idaho before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from Boise State University. My passion for education and leadership later led me to earn a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.
Over the past 19 years, I have had the privilege of serving students, families, and educators in a variety of educational leadership roles. Throughout that time, my focus has remained on fostering academic excellence, supporting student growth, and building strong relationships within school communities.
As an educator, I believe students grow best when they are challenged by meaningful
questions, pursue understanding, and take ownership of their learning. Xavier’s classical approach to helping students think deeply, communicate clearly, and grow both academically and personally aligns closely with my educational philosophy. This kind of education equips young people with the knowledge, wisdom, and character needed to succeed in school, in life, and as engaged members of their communities.
Outside of school, I am the proud mother of twin daughters who are beginning their own adult lives here in Idaho. Spending time with family is one of my greatest joys. I enjoy traveling, but I also love exploring everything southern Idaho has to offer, from live music and theater to camping, ATV riding, and exploring Idaho’s beautiful backroads and mountains with a little “Jeep therapy.”
